Welcome - I’m Christi, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Northwest Restorative Psychiatry.
I have worked in nursing since 2010 and bring a broad clinical background to psychiatric care. I spent more than a decade working as a critical-care RN, primarily in the intensive care setting, where I developed a strong foundation in medical assessment, medication safety, and caring for people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I later spent four years working on an inpatient psychiatric unit before transitioning into outpatient psychiatric practice.
I earned my Associate Degree in Nursing from Hopkinsville Community College in Kentucky in 2010 and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lewis-Clark State College in 2017. In 2024, I completed my Master of Science in Nursing with specialized training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through Walden University. I subsequently passed the national board certification examination administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and earned the PMHNP-BC credential.
My transition from critical care into mental health was deeply personal and intentional. My own experiences with depression, anxiety, and ADHD strengthened my desire to help others feel understood, supported, and actively involved in their treatment. I believe effective psychiatric care should be thoughtful, collaborative, evidence-informed, and grounded in the understanding that every person brings a different history and set of needs into the room.
I have lived in the Lewis-Clark Valley for more than a decade and currently welcome clients into my warm, relaxing office in historic Morgan’s Alley in downtown Lewiston. Telehealth appointments are also available for clients located throughout Idaho. Northwest Restorative Psychiatry is in-network with Blue Cross, Regence, and Aetna.
Outside of work, I am a wife and the mother of three adult children, two of whom are serving in the United States Armed Forces. My husband and I share our home with two much-loved mini Australian Shepherds, Finley and Ollie.
