About the Practice
-
A psychiatric nurse practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse with graduate-level training in psychiatry and mental health care. Psychiatric nurse practitioners are trained to evaluate symptoms, diagnose mental health conditions, and prescribe psychiatric medications. In my practice, the primary focus is psychiatric evaluation and medication management — helping determine what may be contributing to your symptoms, whether medication may be helpful, and then carefully monitoring and adjusting treatment over time.

Northwest Restorative Psychiatry is located in Morgan’s Alley at 301 Main Street, Suite 106, in downtown Lewiston. My office is on the ground level.
Please use the main entrance at the far end of the building, near Old Town Sushi. Once inside, continue to the end of the hallway. Suite 106 is the last office on the left.
There is a small waiting area just outside my office, along with a sign letting you know that I’ll come get you as soon as I’ve finished with the patient before you. Please feel free to have a seat there when you arrive.

I provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for a range of mental health concerns. Treatment begins with a comprehensive initial evaluation to better understand your symptoms, history, current concerns, and treatment goals. From there, we’ll discuss diagnostic impressions and treatment options together, including medication when appropriate. Ongoing follow-up appointments are used to monitor progress, make adjustments, and continue refining your treatment plan over time.
-
At this time, I do not provide counseling or psychotherapy. My practice focuses on psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management. Many patients see me for medication management while working with a therapist or counselor separately. If counseling would be beneficial as part of your care, I’m also happy to provide recommendations for local therapists and counseling practices that may be a good fit.
-
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and other mood- and anxiety-related conditions. Because symptoms can overlap, especially when several concerns are present at the same time, part of the evaluation process is carefully looking at the bigger picture rather than simply matching symptoms to a diagnosis.

When I founded Northwest Restorative Psychiatry, the vision was simple: psychiatry, redefined.
I kept hearing the same frustrations over and over again - people waiting months for an appointment, having visits rescheduled, struggling to reach their provider through layers of staff, waiting days for a response or refill, and trying to fit appointments into rigid office hours that didn’t work with real life.I wanted to create something different. A smaller, more personal practice where patients work directly with their psychiatric provider, communication feels easier, and appointments can be in-person or via telehealth depending on what works best for you. I also offer early morning and evening appointments because mental health care shouldn’t always require taking time off work just to make it happen.
My goal has always been to make psychiatric care feel more accessible, responsive, and human - while still providing thoughtful, evidence-based treatment.
-
Appointment start times are available Monday through Wednesday from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM for both in-person and telehealth visits. Thursdays are telehealth only, with appointment start times available from 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
-
Yes. I offer in-person appointments at my office in downtown Lewiston, Idaho, as well as telehealth appointments for patients located throughout Idaho.
Many patients chose an in-person appointment for their initial evaluation, then enjoy the convenience and flexibility of telehealth for ongoing follow-up care.
Telehealth offers the same individualized psychiatric care from the convenience of your home or work, while in-person appointments are available for those who prefer a face-to-face setting. -
Northwest Restorative Psychiatry primarily works with patients ages 14 - 65.
In some circumstances, younger patients may be considered on a case-by-case basis when their presenting concerns and treatment needs are a good fit for the practice. Parents are welcome to reach out before scheduling if they’re unsure whether their child would be appropriate for care.
At this time, I do not accept patients over age 65 -
My approach is warm, relaxed, and down to earth. I try to create a space where you can just talk openly about what’s going on. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, telling me when something isn’t working, or saying, “I’m not sure I want to do that.” I’ll explain what I’m thinking and why, give you my recommendations, and then we’ll figure out the plan together.
There is rarely one perfect path in psychiatry, so treatment is often a process of paying attention, making thoughtful adjustments, and finding what works best for you. -
Northwest Restorative Psychiatry is a clinical practice and does not provide forensic evaluations, custody evaluations, expert witness services, or participate in legal proceedings on a patient’s behalf.
My role is focused on providing psychiatric evaluation and treatment, rather than offering opinions or testimony for legal matters.
If records or other information are legally required, those requests are handled in accordance with applicable laws and professional requirements. -
I do not complete disability paperwork, leave-of-absence or work accommodation forms, emotional support animal documentation, or other third-party forms until I have been treating a patient consistently for a minimum of six months.
These requests require me to provide professional opinions about symptoms, functioning, treatment history, and sometimes long-term limitations, which is difficult to do responsibly and ethically without an established treatment relationship and adequate time to understand how a patient is functioning over time. After six months, completion of paperwork is not guaranteed and is considered individually based on the nature of the request, the clinical information available, and whether I can appropriately support what is being requested.
-
No. Northwest Restorative Psychiatry is an outpatient psychiatric practice and is not a crisis or emergency service. Messages, phone calls, and e-mails are not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent or life-threatening concerns. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, are concerned you may harm yourself or someone else, or need immediate support, call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency department.
-
Autism evaluations are not something I currently provide through my practice. While symptoms related to autism may come up as part of a psychiatric evaluation, I do not offer formal autism diagnostic testing or comprehensive autism assessments. If autism is a concern, I may recommend evaluation with a provider who specializes in autism assessment.
-
No. Scheduling an appointment does not guarantee that a medication will be prescribed. Recommendations are based on your symptoms, history, diagnosis, current medications, safety considerations, and what appears clinically appropriate after evaluation.
If medication seems like a good fit, we’ll talk through the options together. If I don’t believe medication is indicated - or if I think a different type or level of care would better meet your needs - I’ll explain my clinical reasoning and discuss appropriate next steps with you.
-
Yes. I offer GeneSight pharmacogenomic testing, which looks at certain genetic variations that may affect how your body processes or responds to some psychiatric medications. The test can be completed in the office, or I can have a kit sent directly to your home for added convenience.
GeneSight does not tell us exactly which medication will work best, but it provides other useful information when making medication decisions - especially if you’ve had difficulty with side effects or have tried several medications in the past.
Getting Started
-
The easiest way to get started is by submitting an online inquiry through the Contact Me button - the brown button located at the far right of the top navigation bar on this website.
You’re also welcome to call the practice at (208) 748-8892. From there, I’ll reach out personally for a brief phone call so I can learn a little about what you’re looking for, answer any initial questions, and make sure the practice is a good fit for your needs. If it seems like a good match, I’ll help you get set up with the patient portal and the next steps for scheduling your initial evaluation. -
No. You do not need a referral from a primary care provider or therapist to contact Northwest Restorative Psychiatry or begin the new-patient process. You’re welcome to reach out directly through the Contact Me form or by calling the practice.
Occasionally, some insurance plans may have their own referral requirements, so it’s always a good idea to check your specific benefits if you’re unsure. -
I am currently accepting new patients on a case-by-case basis.
I like to start with a brief phone conversation so I can learn a little about what you’re looking for, answer any initial questions, and make sure my practice is a good fit for your needs.

Insurance & Payment
-
I am currently in-network with Blue Cross, Regence, and Aetna. Because coverage can vary between individual plans, I always recommend checking your specific behavioral health benefits directly with your insurance company if you have questions about copays, deductibles, or what your plan will cover.
-
At this time, I am not in-network with Medicare or Medicaid and am unable to bill either program for services. If you have Medicare or Medicaid coverage, I recommend connecting with a provider who participates with your plan so you can make full use of your benefits.
-
You’re still welcome to receive care at Northwest Restorative Psychiatry using the self-pay option. Some insurance plans also include out-of-network benefits that may reimburse you for a portion of the cost, so it’s worth checking directly with your insurance company to see what your specific plan allows.
I’m also happy to let you know the current self-pay rates before you schedule so you know exactly what to expect.
-
Self-pay rates are $350 for a comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluation and $150 for follow-up appointments. Self-pay is available for patients who are uninsured, out of network, or simply prefer not to use insurance. Payment is due at the time of service, so you’ll know the cost of your appointment ahead of time with no surprise billing afterward.
-
At this time, I’m not able to offer sliding-scale or pro bono services. Self-pay is available for patients who are uninsured, out of network, or prefer not to use insurance, and I’m always happy to provide current rates before you schedule so you know what to expect.
